The Nadala is a monographic publication in the form of a free miscellany containing biographical themes and historical commemorations relating to Catalan culture. The book is the Christmas greeting that the Lluís Carulla Foundation sends to the people who help fund the Baldiri Reixac Awards which are given as a stimulation and recognition of the work carried out in Catalan schools.
Prominent Catalan historians and literary figures collaborate on the project and the Nadalas have become a tool of work and reference in schools and institutes around the country.

La literatura econòmica universal és unànime quan assenyala l’estreta relació existent entre les infraestructures i el creixement econòmic d’un territori, fins al punt que sense una bona provisió de carreteres, autopistes, ferrocarrils, ports i aeroports un país no pot créixer econòmicament. Expressat d’una manera més tècnica, és la dotació de l’estoc de capital d’un país (que és el resultat de l’acumulació de successius fluxos anuals d’inversió neta, tant pública com privada) el que permet la creació i la generació del producte interior brut d’un país. Sense estoc de capital, per tant, no hi ha flux de renda i de riquesa possible. Per això, en la darrera guerra d’Europa, la intervenció dels Estats Units contra Sèrbia per desencallar el conflicte de Kosovo, va ser tan incruenta com eficaç: sense víctimes civils i bombardejant només una part notable de l’estoc de capital serbi (ponts, trens, carreteres, fàbriques d’armes...), en pocs dies es va aconseguir el final del conflicte esmentat i es va deixar fora de combat l’economia sèrbia durant molts anys.
