The Francesc Candel Awards are organised by the Lluís Carulla Foundation with the support of the Secretariat for Immigration of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.
These prizes are aimed at recognising and spreading good practices in the context of the integration of Catalan citizens who have immigrated there from other places. There are 5 prizes worth 3,000 euros for each of the winning good practices.

The period for the presentation of proposals ends on 21th July of 2010. The decision of the jury will be announced at a public function at the middle of October.
The prizes are awarded for good practices by foreign persons who have immigrated to Catalonia and who have contributed to a feeling of public-spiritedness, harmonious cohabitation, a knowledge of the country (language, traditions, geography and history, socio-cultural values), an increasing awareness of the culture of immigration, the participation of women immigrants and young immigrants, contact between Catalans and immigrants, and a positive vision of immigration in the media.
As far as the good practices to be considered for the prizes are concerned, the proposal should state the initial motivation, a description of the characteristics of the action and an evaluation of the results obtained. To enter for the prize, attach the proposal after filling in all the necessary details on registration form available from the Lluís Carulla Foundation.
The proposals must include all the documentation that can be considered to be necessary in order to allow the jury to form as complete an opinion as possible with regard to the purpose, content, materials used and the methodological approach of the project or the experience.
The jury may visit the entities that have presented proposals in order to get to know at first hand the characteristics of the good practices that have been proposed for the prizes.
As we wish to show the winning good practices to as many people as possible, the proposals should be presented in a way that allows them to be displayed and disseminated afterwards.
The proposals may be presented by entities and institutions that carry out their activities in Catalonia.
